Mathew Halter: Founder

Mat founded TerraFerm in 2024 to marry two lifelong passions: fermentation and plant science. After completing graduate studies in plant biotechnology, Mat transitioned into the fermentation industry and has since worked in chemical, food, and pharmaceutical bioprocess development.

These experiences led to the concepts that form the basis for TerraFerm’s technology platform.
